ABOUT ME

My mum says her daughter is a Usability Architect and when her friends ask her what her daugher do she says:

"My daughter makes computer applications that will make you understand what you are doing and why and how you are doing it!"

MY FAMILY
I live together with my beloved fiancé, Henrik Nordström. We met at my first day at University, and have been a couple ever since (7 ½ year). My mother Sylvia lives in Stockholm too. She works as an advanced secretary. My father lives in Västerås and enjoys his life as a newly retired, after working at ABB, as a technician.

HOBBIES
Sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet… I love using my imagination together with my knowledge in handicraft. I once heard a man mumbling "Handicraft is just wasted women’s work!" – I strongly disagree. I am proud of my "know how" and my skills. Not many women, or men, today know how to crochet a tablecloth or knit a sweater to their loved ones.

TRAVELLING
I love to travel (but who doesn’t?) The most recent was to Malaysia and Thailand together with Henrik. Our journey began in mid November and ended in mid December (year 2000).

We began our journey in KL (Kuala Lumpur) – the fascinating capital of Malaysia. After a few days in KL we flew to Sandakan, a city situated in the northeast of Borneo. In the surroundings of Sandakan we enjoyed fabulous nature experiences, seeing giant sea turtles laying eggs and helping new hatch baby turtles to the sea, cruising jungle rivers watching wild primates, such as Orang-utans, Proboscis monkeys and Macaques. As well as taking canopy walks, 50 meters above ground, in the treetops.

After Borneo we continued to the south of Thailand, to Phi Phi Island and Ko Lanta. There we spent our days snorkelling, sunbathing and relaxing mixed with scuba diving (I have PADI’s Advanced Open Water Certificate and Henrik has Rescue Diver Certificate), cave exploring and elephant trekking.

Even tough our holiday was one month - the only bad thing with it was that is was to short!!
